The RTA has announced public transport timings for the holiday of Eid al Fitr and as such Dubai Ferry will resort to its usual timings which can be found on this page: https://dubai-ferry.com/routes/
Dubai Ferry Ramadan 2016 Timings
The RTA has announced the timings of the Dubai Ferry services for the holy month of Ramadan, which is expected to start on 6th June 2016.
Dubai Ferry will operate from Al Ghubaiba Station at 11am and 6:30pm and from the Marina station at 11am, 5pm and 6:30pm.
This means that the afternoon services will not take place – i.e. the 1pm one way trips between Al Ghubaiba and Dubai Marina, and the 3pm circular trips.

Dubai Ferry Tickets for New Year’s Eve 2015/16 Available
Thanks to our eagle eyed readers we have been notified that the tickets for New Year’s Eve 2015 are now on sale.
You can buy your tickets at either the Dubai Marina or the Al Ghubaiba Ferry Station ticket office. Unfortunately tickets for the Dubai Ferry are not available to purchase in advance online, you will need to go to the ticket office or you can call 056-2190276 to book tickets.
A reader reported that Ticket prices are: Gold Adult – 375 dirhams, Silver Adult – 250 dirhams and children aged from 2 years old to 10 years old are able to get tickets at half price (children under 2 go free). However, tickets have been advertised in the press at 300 dirhams for gold class and 200 dirhams for silver class.
The trip starts at 10pm at the Dubai Marina Ferry station and goes around the Palm with a stop at the Burj al Arab to get a good view of the fireworks and then returns to the Marina at 1am.
Tickets for New Years Eve usually sell very fast so it is worth trying to get them as soon as possible.
Al Mamzar Ferry is not Running
So we went to check out the exact location of the Al Mamzar ferry, which was announced as a new route for the Dubai Ferry by the RTA in October 2014. The route was supposed to run every Thursday and Friday but as of now (November 2015), the route does not run at all due to lack of demand.
Instead you can take the water taxi or an abra ride from the Al Mamzar Marine Station which is located at Al Mamzar beach, just before the entrance to the Al Mamzar Beach Park.
It looks unlikely that the ferry will run from Al Mamzar at any time soon so you will need to take a trip from either the Marina or Al Ghubaiba at the present time.
New Maps Page Added
As many people have requested the exact location of the ferry terminals we have added a page with maps of those terminal locations.
Unfortunately Google Maps does not actually show the location of the Dubai ferry terminals so we have added screenshots of the locations themselves.
the maps we have added are only approximate but should be able to give you an idea of where the ferry terminals are and how easy they are to get to. Once you are on your way you should spot them really easily.
The ferry Marina and Al Ghubaiba ferry terminals are both very close to public transport links so are easy to access from the Metro and the Tram.
Check out the maps page here.
Dubai Ferry Discounts
The RTA has announced discounts of 5% on some of it’s marine services. The discount in terms of Dubai Ferry says that there will be a 5% discount on chartered trips (understood to be trips where you charter the whole ferry as a group to your own timetable), 5% discount for seniors (over 60) on scheduled trips (trips listed on the routes page) – you must bring evidence of age for this one, and the third 5% discount is for return trips between Dubai Marina and Al Ghubaiba – normally you would have to buy 2 tickets at 50 dirhams each for silver class or 75 dirhams each for gold class but buying a return trip for silver would be 95 dirhams and for gold class would be 142.50 AED.
This discount scheme is scheduled to run until the end of December. There are also 5% discounts available on other chartered marine services.
