Children under 5 years old travel for free on the Dubai Ferry. Children aged 5 years or over pay the full adult ticket price. It is possible to use a pushchair on the Dubai Ferry.

Buying Tickets

You can buy your Dubai Ferry Tickets at the ferry terminus (each one has its own ticket office right next to where the ferry departs) and they can be paid for by either cash, debit or credit card or Nol card. Your Nol card will need to be charged up with the full fare beforehand.

You can also buy tickets from the RTA website.

The tourist trips run for around an hour so this is a quite good value for a tour of the Dubai coastline.

There are also two spaces available for wheelchair users in the silver class area of the ferry.

The Dubai Ferry is also available for private hire – contact the RTA on 800 9090 for further information.

  1. Good afternoon. How much is an 11am ticket from Al Jaddaf Marine station to Dubai marina station? We are two adults and a child. Can I buy tickets at the station ticket office on the day of departure?

  2. Can you tell me if we can embark in Dubai Canal Station, at 13.50 on Friday, for the route to Dubai Marina Mall Station? I see there is a tariff for this partial route (25 AED), but I am not sure we can embark here. We are 7 persons.
    Thank you

  3. How long is the ferry ride from Marina Mall to Dubai Canal Station on Route#1 ? I could only find the tome all the way to Al Ghubaiba which says the total trip is 1 hr 40 Min.

We want to leave the Marina Mall station on the 6:30pm ferry and then transfer to the to Water Canal Route ferry at Dubai Canal Station to Al Jaddaf which departs at 7:35 pm.

Will we have enough time to transfer ferries at the Dubai Canal Station??

    1. Sorry for the delay in relying but yes the timings are set up so that you can make the change at Dubai Canal Station.

  4. I tried to book from the link you provided (the one that linked to Burj Khalifa . But it seems that the booking site has some problem and I could only select the date, and I couldn’t even find a place to select time and number of tickets… And the route says “mall to mall ferry” which is very confusing

    1. Hi, yes that is not the best booking system I’m afraid but it is the only one available at present. It doesn’t have all the routes and quite often it doesn’t seem to let you book anything so the only alternative is to get tickets on the day at the relevant marine transport station. The ‘mall to mall’ route is the one between Dubai Mall and Marina Mall.

  5. I wish to travel from dubai marina to alghubiba whats the fare
From where ferry will be available
    What are the timmings

      1. Hi Thomas, we don’t have the ability to supply immediate replies here. All timings are as shown on the website barring last minute changes. You can also call the RTA on 800 9090 to check if a sailing is going ahead.

  6. Can you buy tickets in advance [say a day or two] to be sure of getting the sailing you want?

  9. Hi, I want to come by boat from marina mall to bur dubai with family , we are 2adults and 2kids

    1. Hi James I am not sure what you mean by the boating. The Ferry leaves the Marina at the times shown on the routes page and ticket prices are on this page.

  10. Hello! I was planning to book a ticket from Dubai Mall to Dubai Marina for 4th May, but i couldn’t. Eventually i spoke to the agent(Burj Khalifa At Top Website) and she told me that the ferry doesn’t operate during the month of Ramadan. Is there any suggestion on an alternate mode? I know the ferry will operate from Al Jaddaf Station to Dubai Water Canal during Ramadan but that route is not the one i am looking for.
Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

    1. Hi, you can take the ferry from Al Wajeha Al Maeyah to Dubai Water Canal Station and change there for the ferry to Dubai marina.

  11. I tried to book Dubai Marina to Burj Khalifa ferry trip. But the At the top booking isn’t working. Where else can I book this?

    1. This is the only place you can book online currently. It might be worth trying again. It seems very haphazard on the site as to what dates they have available for tickets. You can buy tickets at the marina marine transport Station.

  12. Hi! Can I get a ferry from marina mall to burj al arab and back again on Saturday at 3pm? I’m just confirming this as I saw it on the website. Thanks!

    1. Hi Aoife, all sailings should be as listed but if you want to check that they are running on the day then call the RTA on 800 9090.

    1. Hi Karol, yes that is the genuine website for the Burj Khalifa. We were actually not aware that online booking had been made available for the ferry on that website so will update with that information now.

  13. Hey, just wanted to know if there’s any deal including food..? I don’t mind paying extra for it. And I’m planning to buy tickets for gold class

    1. Hi Sundus, there are sometimes special occasion trips that include food but on the regular trips there is just a kiosk selling snacks.

  14. May I ask if I can buy the ticket for Al Ghubaiba to Dubai Marina (50 Dirhams) by silver or red Nol card? Or should I pay on cash or credit card only?

    1. Hi, no you can’t use the Nol card at present – you may only be able to use cash (there have been mixed reviews on credit card facilities being available).

  15. We bought a ticket on the partner site fg route Dubai Marina station Al Chubaiba station.two adult tickets cost 110 dirham.we printed e-tickets that came to us in the mail, previously visited the cash desk of the Burj Khalifa for registration.
The appointed time came to the Dubai Ferry box office near the Dubai Marina. On November 12, the appointed time came to the Dubai box office on the Dubai Marina pier. They could not scan our electronic tickets and did not let us on the flight.I was rendered a service for which we paid money the mood was spoiled and a lot of money and effort was spent.Remained very unhappy

  16. For one way ticket on Route 1 Al Ghubaiba Ferry Station to Marina Mall Station, how early in advance to I have to get to Al Ghubaiba to purchase ticket?

30 minutes, 1 hour? What do you recommend? This will be on a Sunday if that matters, either 11am or 1pm?

    1. Probably on a Sunday it will not be especially busy so you should be OK getting there 30 minutes before. That assumes it is not a public holiday.
